    thank you for posting this, chuck! amazing find, I love this amv! This person had the challenge of fitting score with no words to Tenchi in Love–not so much the plot, but more like the feeling of the film (if that makes sense) which is where I think one would get the vibe of ‘artsy’ as you alluded to, chuck. Although it was longer in terms of many Tenchi amv’s I’ve seen, I felt it needed to be, & if the song allowed it, it could have been even longer.

    *for anyone who might think amv’s are merely throwing in random, cut-out clips here & there for the length of time the song happens to last, look more closely at the movement of the images and really listen to the music: the synchronization, the harmony of images & sound is there (it’s really evident in the beginning, hint-hint) 😉

    yay suggestions thread! Sorry if I’ve said this alot, but just so it goes down ‘on record’ so to speak…

    I know there are many other facets of the primary fandom of Tenchi (and other series) to hit first, but at some point I really think we should do a special cast on the Lighthawk Force! Interview some of the key cast members (whoever we could get, but definitely creator Raz and core members Bullidom and RimaRegina) and learn about their experience with the fandom, how they first got into Tenchi, introduce people to TLF, etc. Sure I’m biased because I’m a fan of their work, but I also sincerely feel they deserve some recognition. They’ve been doing their series since ’08, and only very recently have had to go on a temporary hiatus, and I’m sure they’ve been fans long before then.

    Very good point ML, I always felt the same way about Tenchi. I’ve actually once heard criticism of Tenchi because he’s too ‘normal’ or ‘boring’ but that’s his personality! A rural Japanese teenager, not one for getting into trouble or adventure (cue Bilbo Baggins comparison) and in general prefers the quiet life. Such criticism annoyed me because not only do I obviously love Tenchi as a character and Tenchi Muyo as a series, but not every teenager in real life is constantly ‘yeah! newest gadget! Hardcore loud music! Gettin crunk with my friends and pickin up girls!!! Derp da derp!’ I for certain wasn’t like that (all the time, anyways) ;) and I happen to have good friends that are very introverted, prefer to keep to themselves, kinda’ shy around girls, etc. very much like Tenchi.

    & that’s why we love him right?! Tenchi Muyo wouldn’t have that charm and endearing timelessness if Tenchi were just ‘hey! hot girls! which one am I gonna’ do first?’ (cue Jersey Shore comparison… 😡) His politeness and more conservative nature when it comes to women is what makes him so appealing (to us and probably all the girls) and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
