Oh, I didn’t mean to come off as defensive! Believe me, I’m not offended. Thanks for the concern though.

Oh, believe me, I’m a fan of Okuda’s work ;) so if anything makes it look even cooler I’m down to take a look. If need be we can take this to PM.

I’m usually open minded tbh so I can see myself liking this as long as it reads like fanfiction (wherein the writers understand the characters.)

I think these used to be on Tenchizone actually, but I never managed to read them before the site went kaputs. Might have just been cover scans, I don’t really remember.

Man, I would’ve liked to read the American comic of only for posterity’s sake. Quenching Inferno? hm…

I wonder,as anyone met Orikasa Ai and Petrrea Burchard at the same con?

I can say Petrea once told me she was awed by Ai Orikasa’s presence. Not as a person, per say, but just the way she knew how to handle a crowd. So I can only assume they were indeed at the same con at least once.

Gravedigging with a purpose. Isn’t there a radio drama CD that includes a few more worlds that were explored? I may be mistaken but I’m under the impression that those episodes were adapted from previously existing material. Would be interesting to see what the other stories are.

Oh, and also… I know, fanboying here. But I’m pretty sure that out of all of them Ryoko’s was the most creative and I would have loved to see more of it before Washu came in and wrecked everything. Out of all the fantasy worlds it just made the most sense to me.

Poor Kiyone deserved her world, though. I’ve always loved that one line: “a fun place, with fun people.” She never gets what she wants – worse off than Waspinator!

She’s in the Britney Spears episode. I saw it in syndicated reruns and said to myself, “finally! I got to see this!” haha.

The name of the episode is “Everything Must Go.”

These guys won my heart with Fist of the North Star. They’ve only won more of it through Harlock and the GE movies. And let’s not forget Mazinger Z!

Wow thanks for the link Nobuyuki! I’ve been hearing about this encyclopedia for ages, but this is the first I’ve actually seen of it!

It’s an accurate transcription at least.

Back in the dark ages, there was a website with actual screenshots linked together exactly as it appeared on the disc. Took forever to navigate because, y’know… 14.4k. 😉

Said website is still on the internet archive but as the aforementioned encylopedia was a java app it doesn’t appear to have been saved :(

Absolutely right about the cons! Guess I forgot how they work… point retracted. I try not to speak with misinformation and I’m the first to admit when I’m wrong.

On the Trigun incident, it’s unfortunate. But it’s unfortunately nothing unheard of. SEGA did the same thing to Ryan Drummond; he was asked to reaudition for Sonic after they chose to forego the 4Kids actors and was told that he nailed the audition. Literally told “welcome back” and then refused to quit his union and was promptly recast without notice.

It’s no excuse but FUNimation is certainly not exclusive in treating voice actors like shit. I don’t want to start a fight or anything so I’m going to keep my mouth shut from here on out.

edit: ugh, dead link. Odd, considering this interview is only a few months old. Here’s a repost of the highlights of what was contained on another site.
