    Yay, more Yukine! I prefer the first one myself. While she’s certainly cute when she’s being all shy, I always thought she was much lovelier during those rare moments when she was totally comfortable with herself and her surroundings.

    Lol, after listening to the dub all I can hear when I look at that last one is “We are not amused!”

    I always get a bit emotional at the end of TMiL when Achika swears to live each day to its fullest, even though she knows her life will end relatively soon, and that she will never be able to be there when her son needs her the most. We sort of take it for granted that this is how she should feel, especially after her kickass fight against KAIN, but it’s easy to forget that she was just a seventeen(?) year old girl who’s life had just been turned upside down. Her strength and emotional courage is astoundingly mature beyond her years, and it always brings bittersweet tears to my eyes.

    It’s been awhile since I took a pic of all my Tenchi stuff in one place, so here goes!

    It may be puny compared to some other members’ collections, but don’t forget that I’ve only been collecting for less than a year! Also, I’ve got these super sweet RARE POSTERS!

    Now that’s a cool idea! IIRC, we talked about what if Kiyone had stayed with the GP and ended up on the wrong side of the conflict. Again, I can’t see TU Mihoshi knowingly working with the baddies, but I think she could totally be strung along by them until she somehow figures it out and switches sides.

    My turn! What if Kagato (OVA) had succeeded in capturing Tsunami? Would Tokimi have come out of the woodwork much earlier to prevent it, or would she throw her sisters under the bus and say “Yay more chaos!”? Would she even be able to reset the universe, or would there have to be some sort of war to bring Kagato down?

    Anyway, I think it’s awesome that Tenchi (and Ryoko 😎 ) has influenced you so much that you want to get a tattoo! I actually know one or two other guys who have gotten Ryoko tats recently as well, and they all turned out pretty cool! If I remember correctly, one of them was actually the pic in the third link you gave (first link doesn’t lead to a pic btw). I quite like the fan art Ryoko in the second link you gave. Sorry I can’t be much more helpful than that, I’ve got absolutely no eye for this type of thing 😆

    Let us know what you end up getting, and feel free to show us pics when its all done if you want! I hope to see you around the forum sometime!

    In other news, I GOT MY SET TODAY!!!! boopplz

    I was browsing through my local suncoast for the final time before I leave it for good and I just had to buy it, even if they did massively overcharge me… I didn’t buy the second disc yet, as I wanted to at least pretend to save money over the summer, but I will be picking it up on Rightstuf presently. Now for my first impressions:

    First off, I was very impressed with the art book and place holder. Unlike the books from the previous two SE sets, this book was filled with art that I actually mostly hadn’t seen before, which was very nice! The place holder is also pretty neat looking and holds up fine within the box.

    Secondly, the box art is pretty nice. The design is creative and interesting enough, although perhaps a bit utilitarian, and the ladies are looking hot as ever, but thankfully not in a gratuitous way that I loathe.

    Thirdly, OMG EXTRA FEATURES! Lol, but seriously, it is such a welcome change of pace to be able to sit back and enjoy some behind the scenes looks and making ofs on a Tenchi set!

    Finally, I think the show looks splendid on Blu-ray. Definitely a product that was clearly born and raised in the Hi def era, and it shows in comparison with the other SE sets.

    Well, now its time to sit back and enjoy the show all over again! I’ll probably post here again when I’ve had a chance to size up the dub a bit more.

    I’m currently watching the brand new show Attack on Titan which is currently being released in Japan and simulcast on Crunchyroll and FUNi’s site. I am certainly enjoying it a lot, although perhaps not as much as all the people out there who are saying its the BEST ANIME EVER, lol! It’s a very dark show, filled with death and suffering and a sense of hopelessness. It sortof has the “the world is screwed” feeling of Evangelion, but without the long and complex buildup in the background. The weakest point for me are the characters, who laregly stick to predictable character tropes and personalities. Episode 5 ended on a massive cliffhanger, one of the best surprises I have seen in animesince…. well, not that long actually seeing as how I just recently watched Gurren Lagann, lol! Nevertheless, I am super excited to see how the show plays out from here.

    I’m trying to watch Game of Thrones as much as I can before I lose my HBO when I move back home for the summer. Aside from the graphic violence and gratuitous sex it’s a pretty entertaining show!

    Eh, I think the two topics are sufficiently differentiated. Kiyoka’s original idea dealt more with EVENTS playing out differently in the original universe, while JG’s idea has more to do with whole CHARACTERS being turned around. Either way, this kind of speculation is the most fun part of being a fan IMO and any discussion along either line of reasoning is one I will fully enjoy taking part in!
