    The Tenchi Forever movie was part of the Tenchi Universe timeline, not the OVA timeline, which does not have Ryoko raiding Juraii. You’re probably thinking of the flashback in the first OVA (can’t remember what episode) of Ryoko’s attack on Juraii. That and Sasami’s flashback in OVA 2 are all we ever see of the raid itself. As to a Washu OVA, that would be awesome, especially if it would be an animation of the Washu, Yosho, and Jurai novels by Kajishima.

    I’ve always assumed that Kagato, being the conniving genius that he is, just got the jump on her when she wasn’t expecting it. I would LOVE to see this period in the timeline animated. We’d get to see young Yosho on Jurai, the creation of Ryoko, HER RAID ON JURAI!!!! It would be epic.

    OMG lol I remember I came across this vid years ago! Haha, that is actually Sasha, Starsha’s daughter (movie III and IV). I still crack up every time I see this 😆 At least Desslok gave the poor girl a smile towards the end! Anyway, while we’re on the topic of funny Yamato vids…..

    Lol just so everyone knows, I support Dagon’s decision to reverse the order of the podcast schedule. The manga cast is my baby, and it is still going to happen, it’s just people needed more time to prepare cause it’s going to be such an awesome cast! Anyway, I will be able to make it on that date and time, and I am looking forward to the TiT cast! (lol that sounds so dirty 😆 )

    Deep OVA lore isn’t my specialty, but I believe that those “tendrils” that she was wrapped in were actually the roots of Yosho’s Juraian tree, Funaho. Yosho and Funaho had decided to imprison Ryoko rather than kill her after they chased her to Earth and defeated her 700 years ago. Funaho was keeping Ryoko alive, but just barely as we can see by the fact that she is all skeletal. As for the mask, I really don’t know what the deal with that is, as we don’t see it on her in any of the flashbacks to when she was Kagato’s slave. As for her present form, it appears that she has always appeared this way (except for some small sagging issues apparantly 😆 ) because both Washu and Ayeka recognized her after 1000 and 700 years respectively, and that is the form we see her in when she attacked Jurai and battled Yosho on Earth.

    With the influx of new potential converts….. I mean new members :Cheeks: I feel it’s time to get this thread back up there and on track!

    With the Manga tenchicast, which will be on the Okuda manga series, rapidly approaching, I thought I’d see what you guys think should be some of the major focuses you’d like to see in the cast. The actual questions will of course be composed by the big man himself as usual, but the tone and focus of the cast is always determined by the people themselves and the answers they give. So with that in mind, I want to know what you guys want to hear from the cast: focus on story, compare/contrast with anime, whatever.

    I for one will be using my time in front of the mic to do my best to sell this great series to the larger Tenchi fandom. My mission has always been to spread awareness of what I consider to be the “Forgotten Series” of Tenchi Muyo. You can bet I will be hitting the selling points hard throughout the cast, like quality plots, good characterization/new characters, and fun one-off stories. My focus will be more towards the fans who no little or nothing about the manga, so I wont be delving too deeply into the complexities of plots or characters.

    Now it’s your turn. What do you guys want out of this cast? I would love to hear everybody’s perspective, so even if you haven’t read the manga feel free to let us know what you would like to learn from this cast!

    That pic of Kiyone is one of the few examples where she actually looked good in TiT in my opinion.

    I really like when she ties a bit of her hair halfway down like that though! Speaking of which…

    I’ve never heard of Remington Steele. I’ve recently been watching All in the Family. I absolutely LOVE that show! It was so far ahead of it’s time, and the characters were just perfect! I also love the spinoff, The Jeffersons. I was sad when I heard that Sherman Hemsley died a few weeks ago :(

    Yeah I hope that they get as many of the voices back as possible. Of course I still have to finish watching Super S and Stars, but I am still really excited to see how this turns out, especially after seeing how AMAZING the new Yamato show is turning out! So have there been any updates on this?
