    Lol wow. Just Wow. I suppose southeast asia has a larger audience more willing to part with cash… but still that’s a bit ridiculous to go full out with toonami across the ocean when they KNOW that they have a highly devoted audience here. Well I suppose that we should all hope that this succeeds so that they will be more willing to try it over here.

    My first (and so far only) con was actually not that long ago at all. It was Otakon 2012 in Baltimore.

    It was a lot of fun because I got to meet up with a member of the forum (mittens) and see a lot of really cool cosplayers and panels. The highlight was definitely being at the FUnimation panel when they announced that Tenchi Muyo! was FINALLY being released in its entirety! Other than that, I really enjoyed searching the dealers room for cool things, even if they were over priced it was still awesome to find cool vintage stuff that I had never seen before!

    It’s funimation’s paying members. They get to view them early and have access to some other features.

    From what I gather, this show was never meant to have much to do at all with the main cast story. But for all the dialog hints and references to the main cast characters, I did feel extremely cheated that there wasn’t more of a cross over. That’s just me, however, and I still feel this is an excellent show.

    It’s even weirder because GXP actually came out a few years BEFORE OVA 3 was made! Seeing GXP before OVA 3 does help a little with understanding who all these new characters are, but unfortunately it had relatively little exposure and so most fans end up watching it all backasswards and getting (more) confused.

    While I will always prefer the original opening…. this is just epic coated epic-ness with a hearty side of EPIC!
