I suppose the obvious question needs to be if we’re placing an order for anything besides doujins… - December 27, 2014 at 6:31 PM

Pretty sure if Tenchi and Momo actually kissed Frieza, there’d been blood raining from the sky. - December 27, 2014 at 6:19 PM

I spotted Ryo-ohki….. I get the feeling that it insinuated the Masaki shrine was founded in the TU by Juraians.
There’s plenty of evidence I think to support it leans toward TU as the source material, but is
still it’s own spin off.

I’ve already stated Pii what I found on the plate. No need to dig a trench. Now as to the eye –

About 80% down the page.
Quote:“Darling Azusa-chan. Will you please take this tree?” she asked him.
“What are you saying? This tree is your life, isn’t it? And I told you, I can’t hear this tree’s voice.”
“You are. You really are hearing…”
Laying her hands on Azusa’s cheeks, she slowly let him turn to her.
“I was always watching you, Azusa-chan, for a long, long time. Ever since you came to Jurai.”
“Mitsuki! Your eye!” exclaimed Azusa “It’s the Royal tree’s.” Azusa found that Mitsuki’s right eye was made from a gem of the sap of the Royal tree.
“Yes, for a long time, I was – watching you.”

@ pii The bonding plate isn’t covered other than a few seconds in the first episode when Kazuki’s father finds it at the construction site.
It is however touched on more in the BESM fan guide, the data file, and more clearly in the DVD line art commentary. It is literally listed as the “bonding plate.”I dug through a lot of the stuff I have, the two guides and even whipped out the translator… didn’t find much to back up the bonding plate. It’s called “the bronze plate” on the line art on DVD 1. I still think I saw somewhere that explained what it was for though. If not, I have to chalk it up to old memories, maybe it was covered in one of the fanfics. I know I’ve been calling it that since around 05 at least. It’s been more of a long running theory that Masaki Yotsuga brought it home and it “bonded” with Kazuki either in the womb or thereafter (potentially much closer to when his visions started). The rabble in the series itself about Kazuki being a parallel copy of Jinbu is baloney easily determined from examination of Tenchi and Dual facts. As I’ve often said, the characters in Dual are simply stating what they see from their viewpoint without knowing the great galactic role they tie into, as such they are commonly in error. As far as Asuza’s eye…
That’s evidently an error on the wiki. There’s another citation of the story differently on the FAQ that’s repeated.
Quote:As such, Azusa was allowed to proceed to the floor where the 1st-generation trees resided. Only Mitsuki followed him here. She told him everything, then told him to take her as yet unnamed tree. He protested saying he it was hers and that he couldn’t hear the tree’s voice. She told him he was hearing the trees voice even now and revealed that her right eye was in fact made from the sap of the tree and thus the key to the tree.
So that’d be Mitsuki’s eye…

There’s also heavy implication that the “bonding plate” from Dual was similar in practice to a key. It seems, thinking back to GXP and the idol, that tree’s which remain as seeds, do not yet have bark
from which to grow a key, so the owners are keyless.
Kirito I believe had a ring that was her key.
Azusa had a fake eye and an energy sword for keys.

Guns of Icarus looks like it could be fun for a group. 4 copies is less than $5. - December 18, 2014 at 4:28 AM

The reason for Ryo-Ohki not being in Ai is kinda obvious if you consider something… kinda the inverse of the Kiyone situation. It’s not meant to be Tenchi Muyo “Ryo-Ohki”…. it’s kind of a obvious smack against Kajishima without being verbalized.
lol

Yeah there’s only three reviews of wanderers out there. One of them pretty much compared Ifurita to Mihoshi which makes me somewhat sad as she was a favorite. I’d like to find the OVA but cheapest is about $60 on ebay. Aielle can go mate with a bugrom. :p
I’m pretty much going overboard on rightstuf, stocking up my anime club.
