MMO Engines aren’t exactly something that are just lying around. Everyone who has ever made one has built their own from the ground up to suit their needs for map size, data streaming, polished netcode for player compensation, etc. A lot of engines available for third party use have basic netcode built in but you really aren’t going to be seeing large MMO numbers in those. It’s just the way things are. MMOs, due to their sheer size, require a bit more going into them than your average Unreal Engine 3 Indie Game. - April 9, 2014 at 9:05 AM

Do you have al ink to that Tumblr page? I like to see the post?
BTW, you guys know that the old Tenchi Muyo! Fan Fiction Archives is still online? I’ve been visiting it lately to check out old storys from times pasted, like the Star Trek TNG crossover, “The Mihoshi Incident.” It’s still a fun read, even to this day.
iloveit1 Tumblr post can be found
.hereKinda funny you mention TMFFA, as that’s

Welcome to Tenchiforum Capt. Rico! As you most likely saw, we were fans of your crossover picture and threw a link to it on our Tumblr. Veryrare to see someone these days who claims Robotech/Macross as their #1 anime love. Macross & Tenchi as #1&2 is an awesome combination (but Tenchi especially)! We have quite a few sci-fi fans here as well, including one who does ship designs based off of styles.Star Trek blueprintReally glad to have you aboard, don’t be afraid to say hi if you see us in minichat!

I was hoping to achieve a bit of surprise with the chosen subject matter and the direction I took the story. I tried to dance around what it was about when asked in Mumble and still try not to really mention what it is about as I feel the discovery is part of what makes the story all come together – the initial surprise the reader shares with Ryoko upon finding the letters, the emotions of reading through them and the realization that sets up the resolution in the third act. I’m glad to see you enjoyed it, though I do apologize for the sucker-punching.
It’s been fun to revisit Achika this week, having her Jurian form be my face on the forum temporarily. I spent a week in her head for this so while we were all taking a break from our usual avatars I felt it appropriate to let her be my head on the forum.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by to read This Lullaby so far and an advance Thank You to all who read later on. Every view and comment means a lot.

- in reply to: Ryo-ohki Ship form size comparison and reference shots
Found this comparison chart in one of the Sketchbooks, showing the size difference. http://i.minus.com/i0IqSQcMvoHoX.png" /> Translation of the text box:
美星の船は、だいたい150 メー トルで、阿重霞の船’ 龍皇と同じ程 度の大きさになる。龍皇自体が大き いのは、船体の飾りが大きいためで、 ユニット部分だけなら1/3程度。 ちなみに、魎皇鬼の本体部分は50 メートルだ。下の図に簡単な対比図 をつけたので参考にしてほしい。
The ship of Mihoshi is roughly 150 meters. The ship of Ayeka (that is the same as Ryu-oh) is comparatively sized. Ryu-oh itself is not very big, only about 1/3rd of its size is the unit thanks to the large hull decoration. Incidentally, the main body of Ryo-ohki is only 50 meters. I want to refer you to the easy comparison chart below.

http://i.minus.com/ibbGzVy3BQgllz.jpg" /> Momokawa’s Pearl Nigori Junmai Ginjo Sake. It’s apparently rather popular (?) in america to leave the Sake unfiltered (which is the opposite of the attitude people take with beer even though belgians prove that unfiltered is just fine) whereas the Japanese don’t care much for the Nigori style. This stuff is really sweet but has a sort of bread-y aspect to it thanks to the rice residue floating around in the bottle. Can certainly feel the 18% a few minutes after the first few glasses. Quite a bit heavier in flavor and on the tongue compared to their Diamond filtered Sake, which I had a 355ml of late last year.
Served cold, needs to be kept there as the flavor is not nearly as pleasant as it reaches room temp.
