    Seikishi is awesome, isn’t it? So awesome it even has its own sub-forum. 😉

    Although the show’s a little older than you think: it premiered in March 2009 and ran through March 2010 (13 episodes).

    But what happened is that the full title translates literally into “Sage Machine Master’s Story in the Different World” (according to my book jacket) and as discussed in the old FUNi forums via a side-trip to AFC:

    I seem to remember a lot of old translations using holy/saint knight’s tale or some such. However, the kanji for knight are completely different(though it is pronounced the same), making it a play on words.


    So that’s why.

    I don’t expect either to be used if the show’s ever licensed.

    Been re-watching it this weekend, and I can’t get over how much I love a hard sci-fi story in the vein of A. C. Clarke. It really tweeks my inner Apollo kid.
