It is very similar to that aspect actually. ^^ It starts with a transcendence to the future with the main character and as he discovers himself, he ends up going back in time to figure out the pieces, due to what his being really is and such. I know it sounds kindof odd at the moment, however it explains itself and fleshes itself out as the series progresses and comes to completion. I tend to set up questions to be answered and interlink ideas as writing continues forward, essentially twisting the plot and such. ^^
I’m not trying to brag or boast, I’m not the best writer on the planet whatsoever, but even my possible publisher finds the concepts I’ve brought up an interesting thing to bring.

That in truth is something I planned ahead on. I had something set up that way to where they havent been the “bad guys” after all. The book overall is to show that humanity has its darkest moments and can be monstrous, also it represents the concept that there is always dark amongst the light and vice versa. There are many underlying themes other than that of course, including ignorance to what is different(via the war in the first place). The first book wont tie it all in since its a series, however as it progresses, it will bring everything to full circle. It also brings in a time-travel aspect as is indicated in the actual first chapter itself.
Also this isnt the only series I have had in mind, however its the one I’ve established completely concrete.

Now my turn to reply to you all, lol. Dagon, I completely agree, the silhouette with the bright background is very overused, but it seems publishers have a say-so in the cover, since they want to use the formula that works, thats why this is only an experiment for if I end up going through self publishing. I tried to create an original looking background, as well as keeping to an eye-catching cover, which Who pointed out; in a crowded bookshelf, you want something to basically perplex you to read it and the cover is the easiest way.
As for content-wise, for Mitsuki, it is a sci-fi and dark fantasy mixture, as well as throwing in some horror elements into it, so in a way its a unique combination(or at least semi-unique). Also yes it is so far a planned 5 part series. I even have a vague concept of a multi-verse.
Who, I guess I should give a synopsis for you and everyone else of the story. As of this(and here is some stuff for getting your work noticed, some stuff that helped me) I planned out a well-written synopsis that is meant to intrigue you, and to entice you read it.
“A boy named Gavin living as a high school student on the cusp of graduation. Everything changed the day that a mysterious demonic race laid waste to the planet. The next thing after this “Reaping” Gavin wakes up in a world overran by these beings. After being found by what is to be the Remnants of normal humanity, he learns of an old prophecy that these beings, these Borgia, have. A savior will rise from the wastes to reclaim the world, or to annihilate humanity. Gavin must fulfill this new burden. Now he learns he is followed by a group of new age knights called the Seraph and must find this group and find out more about his past; his mother the Purifier and his true bloodline and power…”

- in reply to: Shadows list of animes to watch
As of now, I have added to the list and am watching S-cry-ed. Dagon was right in saying it was a good anime. Since I am a Needless fan, I have enjoyed this anime, and even though I am only on episode 4 so far, Sunrise has yet to disappoint me with this and their other franchises. Also Dagon was right that the Dub cast is great. Another anime I have to add to my list, courtesy of Pii, is Bastard!. Watching many AMVs of it, has made me want to watch it. I have read only a bit of the Manga, but the anime as I am told is excellent.

I could see a crack made easily at the transition of Tokyo and Universe being how they were originally going to be in the same storyline before the creators decided to change up Tokyo completely. That would be rather funny to pick at for a little bit, in my opinion ^^ I just don’t want another character like Salad-fingers….that was unsettling to witness.

Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor(at long last) Also I have been watching more of Infinite Stratos thanks to Hero’s recommendation that I continue to watch. ^^
Also, I’ve been planning on watching S-cry-ed but I am not sure. If anyone has anything they can tell me about S-cry-ed before undertaking it, I am all ears.

- in reply to: Sasami Fan Thread
Sasami is a great character, in particular in the OVA’s in my opinion. Not only does she bring to life the concept of the dualism of spirits within one vessel, but brings in a childlike vibe and heart to the story without being annoying as was stated. Even in the Universe and Tokyo carnations of the story, she has a very interesting role as having an enigma about her. Seeing what Tenchi sees in the fight with Kagato in Universe, her bond with Yugi in Tokyo, it really hit it home for her character in all of them. Even in the infamous OVA3 when Tsunami appears during the Z incident the interesting “her will is also mine” is in a way what kept the destabalization of the universe from happening itself since she wouldn’t let anything happen to Tenchi. Even as Pretty Sammy she remained true to her character in the very core. "For the curse of life is the curse of want. And so, you peer... - in reply to: kenshi masaki what makes him tick
The biggest thing for me that I would like to see, is more depth on Kenshi himself, with a new season(if one is created). While in a conversation the other day with you, Hero, I admit it was nice to have a badass character, however I could not feel myself rooting for him or sympathizing with him as much as I did for Tenchi, albeit the reason of mainly wanting more Tenchi himself, or because not much was given on to what Kenshi’s weakness was. Regardless I do admit that although having the quality to be a standalone anime, Who nailed it on it being like an inside joke, If you have watched the previous carnations of the franchise, you feel like you almost get an “easter egg” of sorts when watching it. Again, maybe I am too used to buildup for having an “instabadass” but if someone is raised in the household of Tenchi, and his harem of Goddesses and then some, you would get yourself a boy who is ridiculously powerful and the question brought to the table at the end is if he has the potency of being a “Kenshi-Kami”
The question still bugs me on to how he is an artificial being just like yours, Hero, but I haven’t done the homework on it, so my best guess is that it was Rhea who was an artificial being(still not to sure even on that) but as stated, its the easiest way of looking at it, as well as making the most sense of it.
