…you’ve actually used the phrase “no need for discussion” to end a discussion. - July 4, 2011 at 4:36 AM

Same here! xD
:umad: har har, just tryin’ to be clever, didn’t think it would actually get you guys (no need for worries in the future, I’m not known for pranks)
Zero/Ryoko–that is exactly what the top pic is Dagon, good eye
Yeah well, Little Washu, Ryoko having a cute face like hers & so many memorable moments sure makes things easier ^-^
Thanks to both of you, glad you actually like them

Thank you very much Little Washu! I like seeing other people’s reactions, & which ones are their favs
*EDIT — p.s. the Ryoko/Ayeka swimsuit pic, I dunno’ what that drink is either (Ryoko…sake?) but I’m pretty sure she picked it out of the cooler & pressed it on Ayeka’s face! (ever done that to someone? It’s hilarious!)
Here’s all the rest I’ve got for now (I think I’ve got a couple more, but I’d have to re-size them…& I’m lazy, so I don’t feel like doing that right now. These are my best imo though). Just sketches that I outlined in pen so they’d show up better on a pc screen. Haven’t had the time to color them in, but perhaps sometime I’ll get around to it.
I’ll just finish my artwork run for now, let people check them out, & hopefully get other people to start posting on this thread sometime in the future.
Thanks again to anyone/everyone who looks at these

So I found my sketchbook… :lawl: so I thought I’d go ahead & upload some more pics… I can only upload 3 at a time, so I’ll do them in groups
*please keep in mind these are just photos of my drawings uploaded to pc, so apologies if they don’t look very clear, but I think they turned out well enough (& again, sorry about the dimensions, I tried to re-size a tad bit)
Comments are always welcomed & appreciated, or if you’d rather just peruse quietly, that’s fine too ^-^
*I’d prefer no mean comments, but if you’ve got legitimate constructive criticism to make, that’s ok, but I already know I’m not a great ar-teest
:ugeek: Thanks to everyone for taking the time to at least check these out ::

Sorry if I’m not of much help, but since I’m not really familiar at all with free space fiction, but I’ll just give you my very general overview of what you’ve submitted thus far (I myself am a bit of a writer, so I know it’s nice to get some recognition and/or constructive criticism. You’ve got a good writing style, I will say that. It is difficult to find a fine line–as you mentioned in your footnotes–between being descriptive enough, yet not being
toodescriptive as to take away the spotlight from your character(s)/ the plot unfolding in front of the reader. I for one appreciate your descriptions: 1) because I’m not familiar with the ships/alien species outside of Tenchi realm, & 2) I think I just prefer more details than too few in a novel; that to me is one of the advantages of reading–you can get far more details than from a film/tv show or anything else. I also like the third person viewpoint (I’m guessing third-person limited, haven’t read whole story obviously) alot of advantages, allows for alot of character/environment descriptions yet gives reader insight to main character’s (Durjaya I’m assuming) thoughts/feelings. Overall seems very good; I apologize if this seemed too generic, but I honestly don’t really have anything I can criticize right now: I’ve never been one to be too nit-picky in terms of style/wording, to me that’s just an author’s own style, signature, flavor if you will. The one thing for me personally, again, is unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the fiction (free space, right?) you are referencing, which is almost a requirement to read something like this. (Perhaps in the future, on forum anyways, include more footnotes/background for some of the ships/characters. Or are these meant to be unknown at the time? I guess this is just an excerpt after all. If it is, disregard that last comment ^-^.
Anyways, even though I’m unfamiliar with the fiction, I have in my youth read alot of novels from the EU of star wars, so I know that if one brushes up on the fiction of the universe they’re in, there is ALOT of potential for stories of all new characters to be told (in universe of Tenchi Muyo imo as well) & it looks like you’re taking full advantage of that.
Hope this helped somewhat, I’ll read more if you post it, good luck with any future writing!

Welcome nice to meet you ^-^ I’ve only heard stories about a certain other forum, & from what I’ve heard… 😯 but you’re right, that’s history, time to move forward onto–imo–bigger & better things & hopefully have some fun with fellow Tenchi fans :lawl:“Tenchi Renaissance” I very much like that…

Finally a friend of mine (& several from a certain forum ^-^) got me to see High School of the Dead…so far I love it! A bunch of kids in a fairly typical zombie-apocalypse scenario, but with the fun quirks & mannerisms that only an anime can provide. It has very memorable characters & an engaging plot surrounded by a fun doomsday/end-of-the-world setting that I just find a pleasure to watch! (Hot chicks are a plus, even if the fan service is sometimes a tad excessive). So far my favs are definitely Saeko & Rei. :hotd: I’m about halfway through, have yet to finish so nobody spoil it for me!!!!!!!!! *please :: - June 26, 2011 at 4:53 AM

I hear ya there Guts…in my homestate, they passed a no smoking in ANY public place law…right as I turned 18! (Yeah, I used to smoke some, thought I’d try it, it’s not really for me…I may indulge in a cigar on a special occassion if the situation calls for it). & even though I’m not a smoker, I think it’s b.s. that a privately owned establishment, i.e. a bar or restraraunt, can’t make its own decisions with regards to smoking. If a restaraunt/bar allows smoking, & you can’t stand second hand smoke, don’t go there–the owners may have to suffer the loss of potential business, but it should be their decision. I think we’re getting close to smoking becoming a relic of the past…like betamax, or when radios were also furniture… at least the way things are going with it being taxed to death & so many restrictions on it (advertising, etc.) Of course for many of us (including me) that wouldn’t be a bad thing really, but I still think if a privately owned mom & pop place wants to have a smoking section, fine by me.
