http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKVg4iDeYdc” class=”bbcode_url”>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKVg4iDeYdc) through which these emotions are being expressed. In short, whose view is your amv from? Tenchi’s? Ryoko’s? Both? It definitely seems like Tenchi’s, but there were just a few times when it lingered solely on Ryoko long enough to make me wonder otherwise (0:12-0:15ish, 0:39-0:43ish); but there were numerous examples where it was clear: you accomplished this through an amv fundamental, matching the words with the images as best you can for your purposes (0:30, “sleeping in my bed” good, “blood that I bleed” on and on).

Chorus starts up: montage, Tenchi + Ryoko moments, “I belong with you, you belong with me…” good matching there, and since it’s a chorus and more abstract than verses, ripe time for less specific matching, more loose montage which appeals to emotions you’re trying to evoke (did good job there as well). Then the verse starts up again and you’re back to matching lyrics with imagery (“she’s standing next to me” etc.). Good all around, “tightening” things up, so to speak, will come naturally as you make more.

Last but definitely not least, as with your previous work your ending is where it shines for me. I have to give you points for how you ended it with dat bumper (maybe I’ll even start doing that?), and in general how the song sort of just “ends” and Ryoko and Tenchi disappear, hand in hand, it was great.

Sorry, I may have thrown too much at you. blush1 You’re doing fine.

tl;dr Great work dude, I know I’ve said it but I’m glad there are new folks breaking into amv scene especially with Tenchi. Keep rockin on Yosho!

Don’t get too bogged with coloring inside the lines (especially here, this is someone’s very subjective opinions of classification). For very, very generalized reference only!

This is more of a fanfic thing… Should posted it in that section.

    Got it 😉

Sorry crazyman I’ve neither read nor viewed anything Naruto related, so I can’t help too much with specifics there, but Azusa is underutilized around here in fanfiction, so you’ve got that going for ya.

If I may ask, why did Azusa’s older brothers (meaning they would be in line for the throne of the most powerful empire in existence) get involved with a clan on Earth? (Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Azusa is not from Earth in the way Funaho originally was.) Are these half siblings that were somehow born/grew up on Earth? If not, how/why did they end up there? Why did they forsake their birthright, then try to reclaim it? I ask these not to be too upfront or anything, but rather to note that they would be points of interest to explore were anybody to create such a work.

If you ever do hammer something out crazyman, we do have this section here for fanfiction where you may share (if you desire feedback).

I am also still getting the X’s in the manga reader. I’m running the latest firefox (27.0), and Windows 8.1 (64bit). I’ve Ctrl+F5’d the page, but still nothing.

Did you try clicking on the ‘X’ itself? Or the page, might work.

Also, not a bug but on the note of the manga, I’m looking through the Okuda manga from the beginning and wondering is all of Volume 1 there? Because if Volume 2 follows Volume 1, it just seems like narrative-wise there are some big gaps between the two (same thing between two and three, I realize the Magical Girl Pretty Sammy one is it’s own thing, but Volume 2 didn’t really seem to wrap up).

If this is the rebirth of our bygone channel, it’s excellent we’re going with dailymotion because there are certain advantages to it not being nearly as popular as youtube. 😉

also I “followed” hurrah for me.

Taking these into account, Yosho would have been born roughly around 1916.

This all adds up pretty squarely to me, provided that the distance between the two worlds doesn’t factor in [significantly] with the whole time/space relativity thingy affecting time/people’s age/exact birth date from Earth’s perspective* (interesting how as far as travel goes, Universe ships don’t seem to use the wormhole approach utilized by Azusa in OVA)

I would guess Yosho would have stayed out of the conflict, 1) he seems to have pacifist tendencies, despite being a lethal killing machine, 2) which side would he take? sure, Japan seems obvious, it’s his home, but even though his family ends up being Japanese, he would likely still see himself as an outsider looking in, a foreigner on the edge of a conflict between two groups of Earthlings (though if it ever came to it, of course he’d defend his homestead and family) but that’s just my guess.

I think though whatever the relationship that Aeka in Universe might have had with Yosho, she was still a child like in the OVAs when he left so she might not remember him too well.Especially if unlike the OVAs

    their relationship wasn’t as close.

Could be, but I wonder if Ayeka was even alive before Yosho left. If (and it is “if” only) Pii is correct (which I must say I wouldn’t doubt, he’s done his homework) in his assumption that Jurains naturally age at the same rate as Earthlings, and there’s no mention in Universe context of Jurain trees extending one’s life (I’m ashamed to say it, but I can’t quite remember, proves I need to rewatch!), and if Ayeka in Universe was not travelling in stasis across the stars for an extended period when we’re introduced to her (again, must rewatch! someone chime in if they remember), based on her age and Yosho’s at their meeting on Earth, she couldn’t have even been born yet. Lot of if’s.

See Pii’s companion thread for reference: http://tenchiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1183” class=”bbcode_url”>http://tenchiforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1183

I myself wished to chime in here because I forgot to post my simplified, direct answer to the original question “why did Yosho leave Jurai?” Similar reason to OVA: he likely felt constricted by the ‘über-politics’ of Jurai and sought a quieter life. It’s still interesting to wonder how Haruna fit into the equation (was she rejected by Yosho’s parent(s)? If so, why? If she wasn’t, was Yosho still not content living on Jurai with the woman he loved?), but if Universe Jurai is anything the least bit like OVA Jurai, a go-with-the-flow, free spirit young Yosho likely felt stifled by the responsibilities of rule.

FYI: With the recent overhaul of Tenchiforum Universe, it will take some time to get the abridged section back up so please bear with us.
