    I really like Daughter of Darkness. Though its length makes it feel more like an extended episode rather than a film as such, and Mihoshi/Kiyone get lost in the pack a little, there’s a lot to enjoy, and I find it’s the Tenchi movie I re-watch the most. Really like the showdown in Yuzuha’s world, complete with killer cuddly toys!

    Unlikely to get another printing I would imagine, I’m clinging on to my copies!

    Disney have hardly ruined Pixar and Marvel (The Avengers anyone?), so there’s reason to think they’ll necessarily be just looking for endless cash cows and that they’ll be constantly interfering.

    Lucas has done story treatments, but he will NOT write them. So long as he isn’t writing or directing, and they get some decent people in for it, there’s always a chance it could be good.

    And actually the recent Star Trek reboot is the sort of example they should be following. Commercially and critically successful, and helped resurrect a somewhat moribund franchise. Plus it was really good.

    So yeah anyone know what any of these are from? Or are they just random fan-comics!? Again any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

    I think at least one of those (the one you label No Need for Misunderstandings) is by Kiyohiko Azuma, who did some Tenchi dojinshi amongst other things before he went on to do the brilliant Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba&!

    I remember the version of the film they did for the manga did have Mihoshi and Kiyone reacting with shock at the news that GP HQ was destroyed. Maybe they realised the omission in the film when they did it!
