Merry Christmas everyone! I’ll remember this as a special year in Tenchi-terms. Not every year on Christmas day do you get to watch a brand new Tenchi series start coming to a close.

Oh man, the look on the GP Commander’s face when he made the realization they needed Washu to fix everything! Absolutely priceless.

The multiple spots in time where Momo’s “left behind” or left alone seem to jive with the original premise that Momo was scattered, as it were, across dimensions and/or time itself. But who is this missing other alluded to in the latter sequence of shots next to Momo? Tenchi? Beni? Someone else?

Tenchi’s role in this, possibly using Tenchi-ken in some fashion as he travels, along with Momo’s tree being revealed (a source of distortion, or perhaps some kind of “anchor” for Momo herself to keep her psyche from being completely lost?), remind me of Yosho confronting Haruna (Haruna’s psyche/spirit) via her tree using the sword. When Tenchi asked “what am I supposed to do?” is part of that frustration stemming from the fact that this Jurain ability or technique is something he has yet to learn or encounter? (Yosho being able to enter into Haruna’s world may be due in part to his access to a greater trove of experience using his powers, being much older than Tenchi.)

And where is Ukan during these events? Watch out, she may yet make a startling appearance; more so, she just may yet turn villainous! (I don’t quite trust her; if her drive to diffuse the situation and catch Washu lead her to stand up to Jurain royalty, then I doubt she would be hunky-dory with simply letting Washu free and leaving Momo, Beni, Tenchi and the space pirate Ryoko to do as they please on top of that.)

Good observations, everybody. And here, we see child Momo yet again, albeit not in the feudal era.

    Rrrrriiing! Rrrriiing!

Somebody gonna’ pick up the phone? Cuz uh, pii called it.

I believe now will be a good time to bury the subject (at least on my part) because of made my point already and I don’t want to taint the thread with it so if you want to here more of my thoughts of it into detail then PM me. And thanks for hearing me out a respecting my opinion Dagon. ^^

Always, Snow. Thank you for contributing to discussions with your opinions, we appreciate it and we appreciate you.

    mmhmm1

(I was the odd one out when they basically made a dildo joke the first time Tenchi-ken was produced in this series; I still don’t completely agree with it, but fortunately the series saved itself in my eyes after I moved past it…and at any rate, I didn’t get put in a corner for feeling that way, so kudos forum folk.)

Anyway, on the note of “orbs” and a possible nod, if not direct connection to, lighthawk wings: very acute, pii, I wouldn’t have even considered it, but it sounds valid and rather plausible.

Ok,I admit it I don’t know what “Hexagram of Love” is.

That would be Miss Hasegawa’s First Tenchi novel.

Unfortunately, a LOT of Tenchi fans don’t know about it. Crazed and Nil here have done a lot of work to translate/localize the first novel, and not only is it and the rest of the novels being worked on worth supporting, it’s worth the read.

& on that note, Greenthumb, I totally agree. It would be awesome to get to see it.

lol I actually dont remember that. Time to re-watch some school rumble. Lol Yakamo is certainly ozozing with feminine charm. I guess I can’t think of anyone being at her level…maybe that one kid (I think he was Harima’s brother or something) when he grew up could be with her I dunno.

Awww that’d be cute, and if Harima/Tenma paired up, then it’d be a sibling-coupling thingie.

However, as Hasegawa was involved with Universe on some level, it makes sense that Kiyone could appear there (for those following along, this is also the precise reason whyyou will never see Kiyone Makibi, i.e. the original Kiyone, in any series helmed by Kajishima).

    *cough*Dual*cough*

mmmm1 Yeah, yeah, okay, quick unofficial b.g. character “cameos” like “Photon” making an appearance in Tokyo, I guess ya’ got me. 😆

and Yakamo with…hmm…I’m not sure about Yakamo… I joked about her being with Akira but I can kinda see that happening for some reason. ^^; lol

Probably cuz a that one time, where Akira “filled in” as the groom in Sarah’s (wasn’t it Sarah who was doing it?) wedding-themed photo op? XD

Yakumo’s tough; other than Harima in only my wildest dreams, I really can’t picture her with anyone either. She’s sooo sweet and sooo kind and soooo demure (obviously a certain perspective’s ideal woman) that she’s, as I once half-jokingly put it, “femininity incarnate” the stuff of legends, poems, myths and other such attempts to capture the unattainable while expressing the ineffable. Though I like her personality, she’s more a symbolic ideal than an ordinary high school student (by now, you can tell I’ve thought about Yakumo a bit too much, I’m sure).

She’s like…an element of nature, maaaaan. Ya can’t “own” nature, maaaaan. woooo1
