Not really, but I’ll try giving my two cents.
Sounds like a cool concept. Your “pitch” here was good because it was concise, it was enough to get me interested on some level.
Since you’re creating your own world, you’ll undoubtedly have a lot of info in your head. The trick is funneling all that to your audience. IMHO:
1. It’s a process. The reader/audience has to uncover things for themselves. You could hypothetically have an airtight, novel concept with zero plot holes, but if you just give away everything to your audience without them having the experience of digging things up or putting pieces together themselves, ultimately it’s “oh…cool story, bro.”
2. To that end (the process) provide what the audience
needsto know whenthey need it, not more, and do it through your characters. If you focus on telling a story through characters, the rest will come when it needs to. When I first read
The Fellowship of the Ringdid I want/need to know, when they arrived in Bree, that Stryder was Aragorn, respected Dunedain Ranger, friend of the Elves, older and wiser than he appeared and legitimate heir of Gondor? How about who/what the Elves are, and their background, or what/where Gondor is, or the tragic background of the Dunedain? Answer: no. I became interested in this mysterious figure with unknown motives, so I stuck with the story. I delved further later. 3. Finally, while I think it’s cool you want to share with us some of your ideas, remember ideas in and of themselves are not really protect-able. I’m not saying it would happen here, but just keep that in mind wherever you share your ideas (particularly on the internet). At some point, of course, you have to loose your concepts (in physical form) into the world, but save the really good stuff for yourself and play things close to the chest in general.

Good job making list chuck. So everyone knows, the main reason we moved this cast to Sunday is because it’s a bit more “specialized” due to its content, and there’s a possibility that not too many members wanting to be in on the cast have seen
allof Pretty Sammy’s iterations, so instead of our standard procedure (Saturdays) we’re trying to make this one work so some of our resident PS experts can make it. Dagon123 wrote:Pretty Sammy cast is currently postponed to Sunday, it may be pushed back more depending on certain participants, stay tuned.
In short, even Sunday is, at this moment, somewhat tentative, but everyone should plan on it:
Sunday 3PM EST. That’s the time unless Dagon says otherwise. Also, Crazed, again if you’re familiar with at least
someof Pretty Sammy that’s fine (like chuck said, it’s just so you can have an opinion about the topic) but you’ll likely want to try to get mumble set up well in advance, it’s “mean” to new users (it’s tricky, you might need help, as almost all of us have in the past, if so just let Dagon or a staff member know and we’ll help you out) and of course have a mic handy. (Sorry Amitav and anyone else that doesn’t have a mic, there’s always the comments feature of youtube if you want to add anything.)

Welcome nightkid! We all certainly love talking about Tenchi. Post if you have any questions or if you just want to post about something! - September 9, 2013 at 3:29 AM

Dragonball Absalon is amazing, I need to check in on him again sometime to see if he’s made some significant progress last time I checked (sounds like he’s gotten a lot of positive feedback and support). I love what he seems to be doing with his approach of @#$* power levels, throw them out the window and let’s focus on characters and plot instead of exactness of how many planets each one of them can bench-press at any given time. Anyway, hopefully someday we can get the ball rolling on this, but we (the staff) are at work on a few other projects/chores atm, but by all means if anyone wants to try to get things started on this, go for it! (it can’t hurt to send people pm’s with innocent questions now can it?)

I thought that the Tenchicasts were awesome and i’d be an honor to be a part of one if you guys would have me on. Thanks for the compliment on my avatar who! I picked Kagato because I didn’t notice anyone else using him plus he was a little crazed. I also picked him because he is my favorite antagonist from the OVA’s.
P.S. Mittens my favorite character has to be Tenchi. He’s the star of the show, has incredible powers, and if you’re a guy you’ve probably wished you could be him at one point in your life. As far as my favorite girl goes i’m definitely on team Ryoko. I still like the others (even Noike) but she’s always been number one to me.
You’re certainly welcome to be in on future casts if you’d like, we love having new people to voice their opinion. Also, I think you’ll find many here share your sentiments regarding Kagato; he’s objectively badass.
Team Ryoko
anda Noike fan? You sound like an open-minded individual to say the least, and I respect you for it 😎 we’d certainly like to hear your opinions here on the forum.- September 6, 2013 at 1:12 AM

NinjaboyMMGN wrote:I have a Theory that when Kenshi was battling Babalun, Tenchi interfered and gave Kenshi a light hawk wing. Which was then turned into a Light Hawk Sword. I think that the Giant monolith that Kenshi compressed was in fact a Light Hawk Wing in disguise, so when Kenshi was desperate enough and needed more power it activated. Just a little theory that I have nothing to back it up with.
😆^ That is what I think Tenchi contributed and why he wasn’t on the trainers list.
Good theory Ninjaboy, I myself would have guessed something like “oh, lighthawk wing out of nowhere just as the need is dire? Yup, he’s Tenchi’s brother alright” but, going off of the FAQ, it would seem that neither Kenshi nor his sword in this scenario in and of themselves was “special” in the right way to constitute creating a lighthawk wing, but rather, as stated, by way of Kenshi throwing around something with a ridiculously-dense mass at ridiculously-fast speeds. Though, it should be noted, that even this alone may not have been enough, and Kenshi himself in the equation (being blood related to Tenchi) should not be underestimated (why did his forehead glow exactly as Tenchi’s did–albeit one instead of Tenchi’s three–when he used his lighthawk wing?).
In short, I wanted to let you know that that wasn’t a bad guess, and in general forming your own hypotheses, even good ones, with Kajishima’s work you still probably have a 50/50 chance of getting it right at best (he likes to keep us guessing).
